Arie Walker graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1988, and has practiced optometry for the past 20 years. His first job was in a paediatric optometry clinic in Narre Warren, where he gained experience in children’s vision. In 1992 he started his own practice in North Melbourne and spent a few years as a teaching clinician at the Victorian College of Optometry. He also served on the Optometrists Association Victorian Division Council for seven years. Arie, Joe and Lino started their partnership at Vision@Broadway (formerly Reservoir Optical Centre) in 1995, and then opened Vision@Mill Park in 1997. Arie successfully completed a Certificate in Business Management at Latrobe University in 2007. Apart from optometry, Arie enjoys time with his wife and two daughters. He is also keen on fishing, swimming and the Carlton football club.

Joe Grossi has been practicing optometry for more than 25 years. He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1988. He has worked predominantly in private practice but has also worked in community optometry. He worked as a teaching clinician at the Victorian College of Optometry in the early 1990‘s and has a particular interest in Children’s vision. He has a wealth of experience managing children with lazy eyes and squints (turned eyes). He also has an interest in managing children with progressive myopia (shortsightedness). He successfully completed further studies in Behavioural Optometry at the University of NSW in 2002. Joe is fluent in Italian. He is a member of the Optometrists Association Australia and the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometry. Away from optometry Joe enjoys cycling, playing volleyball and spending time with his family.

Vin is our newest optometrist. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2014 completing both an undergraduate science degree and postgraduate Doctor of Optometry degree. In 2015 she worked rurally in private practice in Ararat and in February 2016 she joined the optometric team at Vison @ Mill park. Vin is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese and has an interest in Children’s vision and treating "red eyes". Outside of optometry Vin enjoys keeping fit and playing classical piano.

Together with Mel, Toni is one of the familiar faces at Vision @ Mill Park. She enjoys assisting patients with choosing appropriate eyewear and has an eye for the latest trends. Toni lived locally for many years so don’t be surprised if her face looks familiar. Away from work Toni enjoys dining out with friends, reading and keeping fit.

Mel is one of the familiar faces at our Mill Park practice. She has great communication skills and enjoys helping new and existing patients with their spectacle needs. Mel lives locally and is a familiar face in the community. Outside of work Mel is kept busy with a young family, dining out and keeping fit.

Connie has been with Vision @ Broadway since 2007 and does a terrific job at hovering between our two practices. Connie is local to both Reservoir and Mill Park so don’t be surprised if she looks familiar. She enjoys helping patients choose the right eyewear and assisting them with all their customer service needs. Outside of work Connie is kept busy with two boys and extended family, she enjoys traveling and experimenting with cooking.

Carol has a wealth of optometric dispensing knowledge having worked in optometry since 1983. Her frame selection skills and lens knowledge allows her to offer the best advice when choosing your next spectacles. Carol spends most of her time at our Reservoir practice and occasional helps out at our Mill Park practice. Away from work Carol enjoys football and is a one eyed Collingwood supporter, she is also a keen walker and reader.

After many years in the banking industry Lina joined vision @ broadway in 2012. Lina is fluent in Italian which is greatly appreciated by a lot of our local patients. She has great customer service skills, always make sure your eyewear selection looks good, fits well and is matched to your needs. Outside of work Lina enjoys eating healthy foods, dining out and traveling.

Pat is our newest team member having only recently joined the team. She has worked in administrative roles but has a natural ability with customer service. Outside of work pat enjoys yoga, crosswords and spending time with her family.
