Katrina Yap grew up locally, so you may recognise her face in our clinic. As well as a director of Vision @ Mill Park, Katrina is a clinical teaching instructor and invited lecturer at the University of Melbourne. Katrina enjoys being involved in the profession outside of the clinic room, and is a committee member the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Victoria. In 2018, she was appointed to the Optometry Council of Australia and New Zealand Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Australian College of Behavioural Optometry (ACBO) and offers Visual Information Processing Assessments and vision therapy for her patients. Katrina is passionate about making eye care accessible for all, and has completed outreach and volunteer optometry work in South Africa, Nepal and Cambodia. Katrina enjoys fitting patients with orthokeratology lenses to correct short sightedness and seeing paediatric patients. When she is not consulting, you will find her getting away from the city, cycling and hiking.
Anna is a long time resident of Mill Park so she knows many of our patients personally! She joined our team in 2020 after many years in the legal sector and retail. Anna's favourite part of working with us is finding frames and lenses to suit the many children we see and she loves seeing the joy on their faces as kids try on their new glasses! Outside of work Anna loves spending time with her 3 kids and escapes to the beach whenever she can.
We feel lucky to have had Mel on our team for over 10 years. Mel has infectious enthusiasm for everything she does and can always choose the right frame for your face. She regularly consults with industry representatives to ensure our glasses selection up-to-date with the latest trends and styles. When she isn't at work, you'll find Mel spending time with her young family at the soccer pitch!
Pat joined the Vision @ Broadway team in 2016. She has worked in administrative roles but has a natural ability with customer service and working with frames and lenses. Pat can always find the right frame to suit any face and makes sure that it sits comfortably for you. Outside of work pat enjoys yoga, crosswords and spending time with her family.
Vicki is an ever smiling part of the team and loves helping our patients with their glasses. She previously worked in accounting for over 20 years but now enjoys the face to face care at Vision at Mill Park. Outside of work she loves spending time with her friends and family and being a Mum to her two boys.
Trish has worked in optics for over 30 years and we are lucky to have her here at Vision @ Mill Park. She brings great expertise in choosing and fitting lenses and enjoys seeing the look on peoples faces when they pick up a new pair of glasses. As a local herself, Trish knows all the beautiful hiking areas around the area where you will find her walking with her dog.
